Cover from Antique Romanian Woven Kelim,
Cushion cover from antique Romanian Kelim weave fabric. This piece was originally as a runner, touchon or cover for decorative pillows on eh traditional dowry bed. Usually these pieces are in red blue and yellow ( the colours of the Romanian flag) this pieces is very much faded37cm square. The kelim woven part was continuously woven with a striped pale lcloth, we have used what we had of this for the backing, also some plain vintage linen. Wooden button fastening
