Uses

These vinatge linen sacks have many uses from upholstery, to bath mats , blinds, laundry bags, table runners, bolster cushions… the list goes on.

Vintage grain sacks come in a variety of weaves and stripe colours.  The stripe indictaed to the mill the owner of the sack, ensuring that the milled grain went back to the correct owner. Some of these sack also have beautiful hand embroidered monograms. It seems incredible to us now that such work went into creating  such an item.  

Care

Vintage grain sacks  are very strong , they were after all, made to carry heavy grain. They can be machine washed.
