Hungarian vintage linen is world renouned for its quality. Most of what is referred to as Hungarian linen is in fact hemp. Most of which has been home grown, harvested , spun and loomed. Many hours of work went into each metre of finished product. These fabrics were loomed on narrow home looms and most are no greater than 60 cm in width. These fabrics are from 60 – 120 years old.

Vintage grain sacks make perfect cushion covers,  they are simple yet stunning. The special home loomed quality of the cloth makes these cushions a fabulous addition to any room. The strength and durability of the fabric makes them strong enough to be used as floor cushions.

From home loomed vintage hemp grain sack dating from between 1900- 1940. Available with or without monogram with back button fastening. 

All beautifully finished and fastened with  wooden buttons
